In Resident Evil 7's non-hero DLC, the Final Encounter will require players to take out Lucas Baker once and for all, putting an end to the experimentation and chaos caused by the connection. Once players step out of the Salt Mine in Resident Evil 7's non-hero DLC, they'll find themselves in a research lab that's been researching and experimenting with moldings.
The Discovery Lab will reveal many secrets about the main story and how Lucas got involved with the Connections and their bioweapons research. This will also lead to a major showdown with Lucas, which may be difficult for players to survive.
start fighting
The player should go through the lobby to find a locked door that requires electricity. Lucas can be seen working furiously at his computer through some glass windows. Go through the door on the left at the end of the hall to find the power switch. Once back in the hall, Lucas will spot Chris and rush out of the room, following through the locked door after it opens.
The hallway behind the power lock door will be guarded by turrets. Take a quick left, into the room Lucas was in before, and find some incendiary grenades and a lockpicker. Players will also have the chance to save and use a stash one last time before the final battle.
When you're ready, head back to the turret in the hallway. If the player ducks to the left at the curtain in front of the turret, the locker can be opened to find some shotgun shell casings. Quickly go through the turret and through the door at the end of the hall. After a brief conversation, Lucas would attack Chris from behind and push him to the ground, causing Chris to shoot Lucas in the head. Lucas will mutate into a three-headed behemoth, and the duel is about to begin.
last battle
Before the battle begins, the player will have a moment to open the many crates scattered around the room and pick up the Anti-Regeneration (RAMROD) ammo from the machine rack in the middle of the room. This time should be used as efficiently as possible, as the mutated Lucas is very aggressive and can use a jump attack to get closer to the player, making looting very dangerous during combat.
Once the battle is in full swing, players will want to focus their fire on Lucas' head or chest weak spot for maximum damage. Using RAMROD ammo will stagger Lucas, similar to how Great White was sculpted in the first boss fight, exposing a red weak spot on his chest for subsequent damage.
About halfway through the fight, Lucas will temporarily retreat to the top of the central area machine (directly above where the RAMROD ammo box is) and begin releasing spores into the room. Even with the upgraded respirator, Chris' oxygen levels would start to drop. Lucas is back on the onslaught, now more aggressive and able to jump over machines to attack.
Keep breaking and dodging Lucas while keeping an eye out for the flashing green light on the wall. These lights indicate oxygen stations, which the player can use to restore the ability to breathe when oxygen levels are extremely low. The Oxygen Station cannot be used while reloading or healing, and poor timing could give Lucas the opportunity to dash in and deal a lot of damage.
Stay away from him and focus on Lucas's weak spot until he falters and starts to melt. The final cutscene will begin, and Chris will end Lucas and his sick game forever.
